A fine new 2-bedroomed apartment, 5 minutes walk from the seafront in the small town of Orebic. It is on the top floor of a select new construction of only 6 apartments, fitted and furnished to a high standard. The large balcony provides views of the sea over the island of Korcula and nearby mountains.

At the seafront, you will be greeted by crystal clear water, opulent villas and the impressive sandy Trstenika beach located at the eastern end of the promenade (15 minute walk). The shoreline has some of the best swimming places off the rocks or beach. There are many excellent cafes and restaurants, some half hidden by luscious palms, olive and citrus trees.

Orebic is located on the south western side of the Peljesac Peninsula, 75 miles from Dubrovnik, which is easily reached by a good and wonderfully scenic road in 1.5 hours by car and by local bus (2.5 hours) or boat (4 hours). Orebic is locally known as the town of “sea captains”, being famous in Croatia for its seafaring history and traditions. On a hill just above the town sits a beautiful Franciscan monastery, built in 1470 whose location is very impressive and affords glorious panoramic views of the coast and islands of Korcula and Mljet.

>From the marina, you can take a 15 minute car/passenger ferry to Korcula old town. This beautiful walled town, often likened to a mini-Dubrovnik offers art galleries, churches and museums and Italian style up-market boutiques. Bustling cafes and restaurants spill out onto the ancient walls. It is said that Marco Polo was born here in 1254 and you can visit the tower said to have been his home. Korcula is an international, national and local ferry port and allows you to arrange boat trips to Dubrovnik, Hvar, Makarska, Split, Mljet and other wonderful places, all of which can be visited on a return day trip.

For the energetic, the possibilities are varied; The Croatian Tourist Office lists 7 walks on its own leaflet, with the high spot being the summit of Mount Ilija, at 961 meters, the equivalent of England’s highest mountain. The starting point for the climb to the summit is located just 1km from your apartment. Allow 3-4 hours to the top, (except in July and August which is only recommended as a stamina test!) and always take plenty of water with you.

A drive of just a few kilometers, will take you to the pretty villages of Kuciste, Viganj (excellent windsurfing), and the quaint fishing village of Loviste. The vineyards of Dingac and Postup produce high quality wines and are easily accessible by car.

Bookings taken from Saturday 4 pm to Saturday 10 am, except by prior arrangement.

Larger families or groups
(Sleeping 7-12 persons max) may reserve apartment 5 and apartment 4 together.
A 10% discount will apply.
